This is pretty much the opposite of our current situation although one can argue this is exactly the same feeling.
When I look at this photo, I see a voyager that has walked days and nights in the desert in search of civilization, and now he found ruins. These are maybe some relics of the past or a hidden world in the present. The voyager will discover the answer, but we remain in the dark. Although the voyager is traveling in search of a home and we sit at home all day and only want to go outside, both situations are a bit lonely.
